01 / Identity evolution

A masthead built to own the shelf.

The publication identity evolved from a logo where “Soccer” sat inside the 360 to a clearer, more confident masthead. Moving the word outside the numerals improved legibility and reduced visual effects, while a condensed letterform system created stronger cover presence. “Magazine” was integrated vertically and the circular detail could carry an issue number or trademark.

02 / Cover system

Consistency without repetition.

The masthead provides a recognizable anchor while colour, photography, headline scale and supporting modules change issue to issue. The system keeps the brand visible across radically different cover stories—from major tournaments and transfer windows to player profiles and season previews.

03 / Grid system

Structure underneath the energy.

Editorial layouts are built on a disciplined column grid. That structure makes room for large display typography, cut-out player imagery, statistics, captions, sidebars and long-form copy without making the spreads feel mechanical. The grid is the invisible system that lets each story look different while the magazine still feels like one publication.

04 / Feature design

Every story gets its own visual voice.

Features shift tone to match the subject while retaining the publication’s hierarchy and pacing. Bold typography, full-bleed photography, graphic marks, data, pull quotes and modular sidebars turn information-heavy soccer coverage into pages designed to be explored.

05 / Special editions + information design

Dense content, made navigable.

Tournament guides, rankings and special editions demand a different kind of editorial problem solving. Player cards, fact files, rankings, fixtures and team profiles use repeatable modules and strong typographic hierarchy so readers can scan quickly without losing the personality of the magazine.
